OUR MISSION

RESET Westchester’s MISSION is to welcome new refugees and immigrants by ensuring they have a proper home, have the opportunity to learn English and are prepared to lead productive and independent lives within one year. We support the preservation of the valued cultures and traditions of our clients’ countries of origin. With your support ReSET has been able to achieve the following:

  • Arranged proper housing for 14 families; a total of 46 individuals.

  • Secured asylum status for two clients

  • Helped eight clients learn to drive

  • Assisted eleven clients in securing jobs

  • Helped fourteen clients enroll in English language classes

  • Welcomed two new babies, with another on the way!

WHO WE ARE

We are an inclusive organization that welcomes participation by individuals, as well as civic and religious groups. We believe that diversity within our participants will strengthen each of us individually, as well as, our organization as a whole.

WHAT WE DO

ReSET plays a direct role in helping refugees establish new homes in our community. We help pave the road to self-sufficiency by providing support during their transition acclimating to their new homes and a new way of life, while holding onto the valued traditions of their country of origin’s culture. Our assistance includes obtaining affordable housing, furniture, employment, transportation, English language classes, enrollment in public schools, navigating health care, government agencies and other supportive services.
